Sam Fender announces arena tour
The North East superstar has confirmed a raft of big dates for this year and next
Fans of Sam Fender are celebrating (and preparing for a digital box office bun fight) after the singer announced an arena tour this morning (Oct 18).
Following a string of announcement trailers, including giant screen adverts popping up around the region and a campaign of teaser social media posts, the North Shields musician confirmed he would be back in the live arena - literally - before the end of the year.
And of course he made sure there was a date on Tyneside.
Newcastle’s Utilita Arena will play host to the singer’s last date of 2024, on December 20.
Due to phenomenal expected demand for his hometoon date, a ballot has been opened for Newcastle Utilita Arena tickets. To get your name in the (Johnny Blue) hat, enter your details here.
Tickets for the seven date UK and Ireland tour, which includes gigs in Dublin, Leeds, Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Glasgow, go on sale on October 25 at 10am via samfender.com.
The tour will continue into Europe in spring 2025 including dates in Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam.
This is Sam’s first full tour since 2022, which included the historic gigs at St James’ Park.
Since then, he has been recording a new album as well as putting in some storming festival headlining performances at Reading and Leeds in 2023 and Boardmasters earlier this year.
Fans who pre-order the soon to be announced studio album from his website will receive pre-sale access on October 22.
Sam has pledged to donate £1 from every ticket sold for the UK dates to the Music Venue Trust in support of grassroots venues.
